project story

Project Overview

In this Solidarity Soup special event, our young volunteers joined forces to create an environment of love and harmony within the hospital corridors. Our primary goal was to provide emotional and nutritional support to the most vulnerable. Through the dedication of our team, we successfully transformed an ordinary day into a celebration of humanity—comforting patients, bringing joy to children, and caring for pregnant women facing harsh circumstances. Seeing their smiles was our greatest reward.

Target Beneficiaries

200+

Children who received hot, delicious meals (including rice, beans, chicken, and sausage) in celebration of International Children's Day.

Dozens of Families

Households living in difficult circumstances provided with basic food baskets containing essential staples like rice and cornmeal.

The Palanca Community

Local residents who gained a platform to voice their concerns, enabling the organization to assess future needs for education and health interventions.

Why

This Project

Matters

The initiative tackled immediate hunger while creating a safe space to listen to the pressing needs of the highly vulnerable Palanca community.

Combating Local Hunger

Providing immediate food relief through hot meals and take-home food baskets addresses the severe nutritional deficit faced by families struggling with daily survival.

Amplifying Community Voices

True help begins with listening. Engaging directly with residents allows the organization to understand deeper systemic challenges, such as the need for personal documentation and better healthcare.

Inspiring Broader Action

By showcasing the profound impact of direct kindness, the project serves as a public appeal to business owners and civil society organizations to invest in underserved neighborhoods.

Project Objectives

Promote Long-Term Nutritional Health

Conduct 20 community workshops alongside food distribution days, educating families on budget-friendly meal preparation, nutrition storage, and food preservation.

Minimize Local Food Waste

Establish partnerships with at least 15 regional farms and markets to salvage high-quality surplus food, redirecting 50+ tons of food from landfill to families in need.

Ensure Consistent Food Access

Distribute monthly nutrition kits to 5,000 vulnerable households over a 12-month period, ensuring zero gap in essential meal supply.
